Frequently Asked Questions

• + I don’t currently use Xero, is that a problem?

  No, not at all. If you are moving to our Full Finance function then we will simply convert your software and any pre-existing records to Xero and train you how to use it. If you do your bookkeeping, obviously our advice is that Xero is best but we can work with any accounting software.

• + I would like to move to Xero but am concerned about the disruption to my business?

  This is a common concern but our team of Xero experts will take care of everything behind the scenes, from migrating all your information onto Xero, conducting a full health check to make sure any issues in your accounts are identified and fixed. Following your training, and only when you are 100% happy, we will agree on a launch date.

• + Xero sounds great but I am worried I won’t know how to use it?

  Everybody learns at their own speed and in their own way so our training is individually tailored to your needs but don’t worry your support doesn’t stop there. If you are taking on your own bookkeeping, we will follow up your first 90 days with regular touchpoints and walk you through any key events e.g. your first VAT submission. Also remember, you have a team of Xero Certified advisors to call upon if you get stuck or need some advice.

• + How does your pricing work?

  We are a member of GoProposal, dedicated to providing clear, transparent and consistent pricing. You only pay for the amount of work we need to do (eg. payroll is paid per person we need to do it for)

• + I’m considering moving to NA. How does the sign-up process work?

  That is great news. The first step is to arrange a discovery call to find out a little more about you, your company, the goals and the needs you have. We will discuss your current financial situation and how working together would look like. Then if you sign up with us, we will start the onboarding process.

• + How does the payment work for your services?

  95% of our clients pay by monthly direct debit, but you have the option to pay by bank transfer if that is more suitable for you.

• + Can I move to you without having my previous year-end accounts done?

  Yes, of course. When you are moving over, we will have a look if there is any outstanding bookkeeping, VAT return, year-end account or anything else you have, what you wish us to do for you.

• + Will you contact my current accountant if I move to you?

  If you sign up with us, we will only contact your previous accountant, if you are happy with us to do so. Sometimes clients need us to wait a bit longer as there might still be some outstanding work to be done. But once you give us the green light, we contact your previous accountant for all your company details and previous year’s paperwork.

• + My business is new, can you still help me?

  Absolutely. We help start-ups, new businesses and dormants as well as existing companies. It does not matter how long you have been operating or you just would like to start a new company, we can help you with the set-up process too.

• + I like the way you work, but I am not based near you, could you still be my accountant?

  Absolutely, we work with companies all over the country. We would love to hear from you, regardless of where you are located. We might not be able to hold as many face-to-face meetings with you, but will still be able to contact you on video calls instead.

• + What industries do you specialise in?

  Unlike other accountants, we do not have a niche in industries. Our expertise is in the accountant software we use, Xero. We help set it up, train you and provide the numbers you need, to be able to make appropriate future decisions.
