In January, team NA came together for our annual Business Kick-Off meeting, a chance to pause, reflect, and set the tone for the year ahead.

These sessions are always an important moment in our calendar. They give us space away from the day-to-day to look back on what we’ve achieved, be honest about what we’ve learned, and get clear on where we’re heading next.

Reflecting on the past year

We started the day by looking back over the last year. It’s been a busy one, filled with growth, change, and plenty of progress across the business. From evolving our service offering to strengthening how our teams work together, the review reminded us just how much can be achieved when everyone pulls in the same direction.

Celebrating these moments isn’t about ticking boxes, it’s about recognising the effort, resilience, and commitment that sits behind the results. Taking time to acknowledge that as a team is something we value highly at Northern Accountants.

Setting our goals for 2026

With the foundations laid, we turned our focus to the year ahead. We shared our goals for 2026, discussed priorities across the business, and explored how each team and individual contributes to the bigger picture.

The conversation wasn’t just about numbers or targets. It was about how we continue to improve the experience for our clients, how we support each other as a team, and how we keep building a firm that people genuinely enjoy being part of.

Food, drinks, and team celebrations

No NA get-together would be complete without good food, good drinks, and lots of conversations. After a productive day of discussions, we relaxed, celebrated, and enjoyed spending time together away from our desks.

A real highlight of the day was our team awards. These are always a favourite, as they shine a light on the people who consistently go above and beyond. Congratulations to our winners:

Looking ahead

Our 2026 Business Kick-Off was a reminder of what makes Northern Accountants what it is: a driven, supportive, and genuinely friendly team with a shared ambition to do great work for our clients.

We’re heading into the year ahead with clarity, motivation, and plenty to be excited about – and we’re looking forward to everything 2026 has in store.
