Jayne Waugh

Head of Client Transition

Jayne is the friendly face behind our onboarding process, welcoming new clients and helping them settle in from day one. Being warm, approachable, and genuinely supportive comes naturally and makes her a key part of our team.

Jayne is often affectionately referred to as the ‘Office Mum’ and she takes real pride in looking after others and making sure everyone feels supported. Before joining us in 2014, she spent 18 years at Castleford Tigers and held a wide range of roles, including accounts, office management, and matchday operations.

Outside of the office, Jayne is a proud mum to two grown-up children. She lives in Pontefract with her husband and they enjoy getting away together in their campervan and exploring the UK.

What are your main interests or hobbies?
I enjoy going to the gym, focusing on both cardio and weights, and I follow a plan put together by my son, who is a personal trainer and nutritionist. I also love being outdoors in the fresh air and going for walks with my husband and Marley, our Cockapoo.  There’s nothing better than a long walk followed by a stop at a cosy pub – ideally for a gin and tonic!

What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I tend to listen to anything from the 80s but I really like Tom Grenan at the moment.

What’s your favourite or dream holiday destination?
New York is best place I have been to because I loved the buzz and seeing the famous sights. Saying that, I’m equally at home relaxing on a beach with a good book.

What’s your favourite food?
I do love a spicy Indian, and will opt for a speciality dish. I’m not a cook!

Do you have a favourite book our author?
When I get chance to sit down and relax, I do like to read crime thrillers but I don’t have a specific author.

What film or boxset would you recommend to others?
I enjoy watching true crime documentaries and learning about the investigation process. Film wise, it would have to be The Green Mile – a great example of Steven King at his absolute best.

Do you have a favourite app you use the most?
I’m always on WhatsApp to keep up to date with friends and family.

What would you do if you won £10m on the lottery?
Retire! I’d be keen to buy a home abroad and spend more time in a warmer country close to a beach. I’d also employ a cleaner and a personal chef.

How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Friendly, welcoming, organised, supportive and caring.

If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Study as much as you can and get it out of the way when you have time to focus on it. Life gets very busy as you get older.
