What are your main interests or hobbies?
If I’m not out on the golf course, you’ll probably find me at Karate. I’ve been going to classes ever since school and I’m now a sixth Dan Black Belt. I’m also starting to get into padel tennis.
What music do you like – any specific genre or artists?
I’m a big fan of country rock – so Chris Stapleton and Luke Coombs are usually on the playlist.
What’s your favourite food?
I do love Chinese food and my favourite would be Sweet Chilli Chicken with Egg Fried Rice but my partner is not a fan at all – so we tend to go for an Indian. I’d go for Chicken Tikka Rajastan.
What TV show, film or boxset would you recommend to others?
Pulp Fiction is my all-time favourite film – I love it. I must admit I also have a soft spot for a good murder mystery, anything from Murder, She Wrote and Columbo to Frost and Poirot. I enjoy anything that keeps you guessing until the end.
Do you have a favourite book or author?
I don’t read as often as I would like to but on holiday I like to read a good thriller – Stephen King is my favourite author.
Do you have a favourite holiday destination or place you’d love to visit?
I’ve been to Australia a few times and always love it. The weather, the vibe and lots of landmarks, plus my partner has relatives there so we go to visit them. I also love relaxing at an all-inclusive in Mexico, where we’ve been a few times.
What smartphone App could you not live without?
I do like WhatsApp for keeping in touch with people and organising my golf and karate clubs.
How would you describe yourself in 5 words?
Competitive, reliable, thoughtful, hard-working and a bit of a perfectionist.
If you could go back in time, what advice would you give your younger self?
Don’t sweat the small stuff, and remember that good things can often come out of bad situations.
